We spent part of the day at Batu Caves. Avner was very sad to miss the the famous Thaipusam festival by just one day. Luckily, we still saw some people making the pilgrimage.

Visiting mosques makes Kate look like a babci.

Getting your toes nibbled by fish at the Central Market is hysterical.

The Year of the Rabbit!
(or for Truman, the Year of the "Bunny Ranch")

Petronas Towers are tall.

Hi Katie and Avner - When you look around, do you feel like you've stepped onto another planet? Been following your blog and am so envious and yet so very happy for you. Loved hearing that you saw the giant bats cause Archie and I saw them too, in India! As Avner well knows, it's a fabulously interesting world out there. Where can we expect to find you next? Have a wonderful time and know how very fortunate you two are. And know you have a hugh responsibility since many of us are living vicariously through your adventures. Stay happy and stay safe. Love, Auntie Helen
ReplyDeleteYou two are adorable and I miss you and hope you are having THE BEST time! ps thank for your postcard! <3
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see that you brought thoughts of your family with you halfway across the world- Babci and bunnies! What a wonderful place you are in! Thanks for bringing us a taste of another culture! Watch out for those monkeys!
ReplyDeleteLook at those toes!
ReplyDeleteMan....If I was there I would eat EVERYTHING in sight (I am REALLY hungry these days). Especially if there was a Guava in your backpack! I'd grab it right out of there! And I don't even know what a guava is!
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't know whats so special about the fish eating your toes...my mom and dad do it to me all day long.
Seems like you guys are having a good time. Have fun, be safe and bring back some monkeys! Love-Quinn
